Pakbeng Hydropower Project

The project is a run-of-the-river hydroelectric power plant located in the Lower Mekong River Basin on the Mekong river, with an installed capacity of 912 MW. The design discharge of 5,771 m³/s is diverted through 16 bulb turbines integrated in a powerhouse next to a gated spillway structure.
