Nam Phak I, II & III Hydropower Projects

ILF carried out a technical due diligence and optimized the existing design resulting in a financial return by avoiding the cascade scheme. On this basis, ILF recommended a one-step scheme using the upstream location of the HPP dam and the inlet, followed by a 20 km waterway to the down-stream powerhouse. In this way, the investment was reduced by two thirds compared to the cascade model and the 15 % loss in power generation was compensated.
