Embracing Diversity
Since the company’s beginnings, ILF has implemented national and international projects. The ILF Group has more than 45 offices around the world, but it is our workforce who really make us an international company.
ILF Germany unites more than 500 employees, over 30 nationalities and a colorful array of cultures, religions and beliefs. We have department managers who work part-time, male receptionists and an age range spanning more than 70 years.
We have signed the German Charta der Vielfalt and continue to embrace diversity throughout ILF. Our sustainability strategy also places the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the heart of our business activities.

What We Do
Let Us Shape the Future Together
Our projects create opportunities to contribute to drinking-water supply, renewable-energy transmission, rail mobility and security of gas supply.
SuedLink HVDC Transmission Line, Germany
To transmit wind power from northern to southern Germany, SuedLink is being built as a high-voltage direct-current transmission line with multiple underground cables. ILF integrates the cable alignment into the design of the approximately five-kilometre ElbX tunnel below the River Elbe.
Technical data: 525 kV, approximately 685 km and 531 km cable length, transmission capacity 2 × 2 GW.
Khobar–Hofuf Water Transmission System, Saudi Arabia
The project includes pumping, reservoir and tie-in stations as well as 137 km of DN 2000 and 18 km of DN 600 pipeline. ILF supports the client SWCC together with MGC during execution.
Daglfing–Johanneskirchen Railway Upgrade
The five-kilometre railway section in greater Munich is being upgraded from two to four tracks. ILF is involved in transport facilities, civil structures and technical railway equipment.
Rimpar Compressor Station
The OGE compressor station is a major node in the German and Central European gas network. ILF delivered basic and detailed design, construction supervision, commissioning and final documentation for the new facility, which contains three 12 MW compressor units and around 6.5 km of pipelines.
