Nam Ngiep 3A Hydropower Project

Since the start of commercial operation in 2013, the power generated has been significantly be-low design capacity, due to the initial overestimation of the water resources available for the project. As part of a technical due diligence, ILF developed a concept to increase energy production by conveying additional water from adjacent catchment areas. In addition, ILF developed and implemented a concept to minimize water leakage and seepage from the reservoir in order to increase power generation during dry season.
