Stratford Pumped Hydroelectric Energy Storage
Stratford PHES is located close to Newcastle in NSW. The plant has a capacity of 300 MW and involves the construction of a new upper reservoir and the upgrading of an existing water supply dam to serve as lower reservoir. An underground waterway and shaft powerhouse are planned.
