Vale betreibt die Moatize Coal Mine mit einem Jahresabbau von rund 22 Mio. to Kohle. ABB Schweiz erhielt in einem ursprünglichen Auftrag die Planung (Inkl. Bauplanung), Lieferung und Montage der Stromversorgungsinfrastruktur (Phase 1) für den Betrieb der Mine.
